Role: Junior Draftsperson

Description
As a Junior Draftsperson you will initially support and assist the current Draftsmen in producing 3D models and detailed assembly and manufacturing drawings for multiple projects and jobs running at VAS.
This will include measuring up and producing hand drawn sketches from on the shop floor and site visits in order for them to be modelled later. Administration work is also required in this role with part numbers being created and saved our internal data base and drawing filed away in an easily traceable and understood manner.
Once you have gained experience and proven your competency you will eventually solely be responsible for the technical drawings on projects coming in and undertaking site visits, meetings and leasing with project team by yourself.
Your Experience / Skills
• Above all else a positive and constructive attitude towards the role with a genuine interest in engineering.
• Mechanically mind, have a basic engineering knowledge and, be intuitive and inquisitive in your approach to furthering your career in engineering.
• Organised
• Competent with computers on software such as Microsoft Word & Excel, Database input and have some experience on CAD software (Ideally Solidworks).
• Be able to measure and produce legible hand drawings.
• You should ideally hold a UK driving licence and be able to be punctual should you be accepted for the role.
• Not averse to travelling as part of the role (Traveling arranged by the company)
Qualification:
Good GCSE's, Engineering related Qualification Prefered
Salary Range:
In line with minimum wage to start, advancement & prospects available.
