Producing high standard drawings for approval and manufacturing.

Able to work efficiently and to manage tight timeframes.

Communicate effectively with directors, managers and members of other departments when necessary.

Able to work flexibly to ensure projects are completed on time and to support the team and the manager to fulfil company commitments.

Capable of working in a team with other CAD members and liaising with team members in the shop floor.

Assisting other members of the department when required and always working for the good of the company.

It is imperative that our designs meet a high level of standards.

Reporting to CAD manager, department managers, directors, and managing director.

Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Continuous professional development to enhance skills. Willingness to learn.

Your Experience / Skills

The candidate should be proficient in the use of SOLIDWORKS and knowledge of SWOOD would be a bonus, however, SWOOD training will be provided.

Capable of designing with various materials, such as timbers, solid surfaces, stones, metal, MDF, glass, etc.

3D Modelling using SOLIDWORKS/SWOOD, preparation of detailed 2D drawings -for approval and manufacturing.

Joinery experience is also essential and the ability to apply this knowledge into manufacturing drawings is a must.

Attention to detail whilst setting and attaining high standards with objective of completing accurate drawings first time, every time.

Working to deadlines and being proactive to move onto new projects.

Qualification:

Minimum 5 years of experience with SOLIDWORKS in the joinery sector. SOLIDWORKS certifications preferred. Capable of working with: SWOOD, surfaces, weldments, and sheet metals also preferred.
