Tuesday January 1, 2019 at 3:38pm None
If you’re having problems with SOLIDWORKS not performing correctly especially in terms of graphics, you can run in a safe mode. This safe mode removes the graphics card from running in SOLIDWORKS and hence highlights whether or not it is causing a problem.

SOLIDWORKS: How to Run SOLIDWORKS in Software OpenGL Mode

View an interactive step by step guide below by pressing the play button below.

For the best experience view the guide full screen click here.

If you prefer the solution is outlined in text below.

1. Close all instances of SOLIDWORKS.

2. Access in Windows, Start > All Programs > SOLIDWORKS 20XX > SOLIDWORKS Tools 20XX> SOLIDWORKS RX.

3. Select Home.

4. Select Open in Software OpenGL mode.

5. SOLIDWORKS will promptly begin to open

Please use SOLIDWORKS in this mode for a suitable length of time; to establish whether the issue persists or not.
