SOLIDWORKS CAM

OVERVIEW

How can I integrate CAD with manufacturing?
SOLIDWORKS CAM/CAMWorks

SOLIDWORKS CAM enables you to integrate design and manufacturing in one application, connecting design and manufacturing teams through a common 3D model.

Thanks to the power of CAMWorks (the software behind SOLIDWORKS CAM) users can intelligently program 2.5D and 3 Axis toolpaths through the use of Knowledge Based Machining (KBM) which SOLIDWORKS CAM employs. This means as you program SOLIDWORKS CAM learns from you and automates repetitive tasks, leaving you more time to focus on the more crucial aspects of your project.

Additional features include Tolerance Based Machining (TBM), Volumill (a high-performance toolpath which optimises for maximum material removal with minimised machining time), configurations, assembly machining, turning, and 3+2 programming to drive Multi axis machines. All of which can be achieved through upgrades to increase your software through increased functionality.
